Day 1: Arrival & Kigali City Tour
I welcome you warmly to Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. We begin with the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful introduction to the country’s resilience. Later, we stroll through bustling craft markets and modern districts, sampling local cuisine. In the evening, I brief you on the safari ahead, ensuring you feel prepared and excited.

Day 2: Drive to Akagera NP & Game Drive
We head east toward Akagera National Park, passing through rural landscapes dotted with villages and farmlands. After settling in, we embark on an afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, and antelope grazing near shimmering lakes. I highlight the park’s conservation story, adding depth to your first wildlife encounters.

Day 3: Full‑Day Safari in Akagera
At dawn, we set out for a full‑day safari across Akagera’s varied habitats. Lions patrol the plains, rhinos graze quietly, and hippos wallow in lakes. I guide you through savannah, woodland, and wetland ecosystems, ensuring memorable sightings and photo opportunities. Picnic lunch in the bush adds to the adventure.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes

Evening relaxation allows you to absorb the atmosphere before gorilla trekking tomorrow.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes

Spending an hour observing their interactions is deeply moving. I ensure you capture the moment while respecting conservation guidelines. Evening rest follows.

Day 6: Cultural Immersion & Lake Kivu Sunset
In the morning, we visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village near Volcanoes National Park. After lunch, we drive west to Lake Kivu, where you relax by the water. Sunset over the lake provides a serene finale to the day.
